  • Our Corporate, Commercial, and Institutional Banking division offers an Investment Banking Graduate Programme at Standard Chartered Bank, enabling individuals to reach their full potential.   • For over 160 years, we have provided exceptional financing, investment, treasury, and strategic advisory services, supporting our clients’ growth in crucial moments. We serve as the preferred banking partner for over 5,000 clients, spanning various sectors such as large corporates, financial institutions, governments, small and medium-sized enterprises, and investors. Our role involves facilitating global trade, capital, and investment flows worldwide.
  • Within our Investment Banking team, we offer corporate and advisory services, aiding clients in capital raising, underwriting, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, and executing advisory mandates. Collaborating with corporations, financial institutions, and governments, we strive to accomplish their strategic objectives through innovative solutions in intricate cross-border transactions.
Program Overview
  • Our 18-month graduate program provides comprehensive support for launching a global banking career. The induction phase involves networking opportunities with peers and senior executives across the Bank, laying the foundation for career development. The training curriculum focuses on enhancing technical, business, and interpersonal skills, incorporating real-world simulations and case studies.
  • Future skill development remains a pivotal focus of the program, aligning with our commitment to revolutionizing banking for the betterment of all.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • As an Investment Banking graduate, you will engage in hands-on roles from day one, enabling rapid skill development and integrating seamlessly into our team. Responsibilities include conducting research and analysis, financial modeling and valuation, and crafting investment materials and presentations.
  • By supporting senior bankers within our mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and Industry teams, you’ll gain expertise in cross-border deals, participating in the execution of corporate finance transactions and developing detailed financial models. Additionally, you’ll contribute to origination and execution, conduct due diligence, and assist in project management for live transactions.

  • We seek agile multi-taskers capable of handling pressure, possessing analytical minds, attention to detail, relationship-building skills, and a drive towards achieving goals.
  • Technical positions are well-suited for individuals proficient in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics.
  • Applicants should be final-year students, available to commence in July 2024, and possess the permanent legal right to work in their applying country.
Exceptions
