Job Summary

APM Terminals is seeking an experienced administrative and executive support professional to provide comprehensive support to the Managing Director for Nigeria. The role focuses on executive coordination, administration, stakeholder management, travel arrangements, and ensuring business priorities are effectively followed through.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Managing Director’s calendar, appointments, meetings, customer engagements, and competing priorities.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, visas, expatriate immigration cases, accommodation, itineraries, and expense reports.
  • Prepare agendas, presentations, briefing documents, executive summaries, and meeting materials.
  • Track business decisions, priorities, milestones, and action items to ensure timely follow-up.
  • Coordinate communication between the Managing Director, leadership team, customers, suppliers, and regional stakeholders.
  • Organise leadership meetings, town halls, customer visits, workshops, executive visits, and strategic events.
  • Support governance, document control, budget administration, purchase requests, supplier coordination, reporting, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Identify practical solutions to administrative and service-related challenges.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive business and executive information.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of administrative processes and ways of working.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting senior executives, preferably Managing Directors, Country Managers, or C-suite leaders.
  • Strong administration, organisation, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Copilot.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Experience in a multinational organisation is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of shipping or logistics is an added advantage.
  • Bilingual capability is an added advantage.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and proactive approach to work.
