Job Summary

Dangote Cement Plc is seeking an experienced Mechanical Manager to oversee mechanical maintenance activities within the Power Plant, ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with established procedures and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate work orders for identified mechanical problems.
• Prioritize and assign mechanical maintenance work orders to skilled maintenance personnel.
• Ensure all mechanical maintenance and repairs comply with established procedures and standards.
• Direct maintenance staff in resolving complex mechanical issues.
• Prioritize personnel safety and health while ensuring good housekeeping during maintenance activities.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Power Plant Head or Section Head.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant Power Plant experience, particularly in gas-based power plant operations.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance of gas turbines, air compressors, NG compressors, cooling towers, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, valves, firefighting systems, and RO/water treatment plants.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Creativity and ability to think outside the box.
