Job Overview: Medical Laboratory Scientist

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Scientist to support accurate diagnosis and quality patient care through reliable laboratory testing and analysis. The ideal candidate will perform routine and specialized laboratory investigations while ensuring compliance with medical, safety, and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests and analyses on blood, urine, tissue, and other specimens.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timely reporting of test results.
• Maintain proper documentation and accurate laboratory records.
• Adhere strictly to laboratory safety, quality control, and infection prevention protocols.
• Participate in internal and external quality assurance programs.
• Collaborate with medical officers and healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory specimens and reagents.
• Assist in inventory management of laboratory supplies and reagents.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) or equivalent.
• Valid practicing license.
• Proven experience working in a clinical laboratory environment (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
