Job Summary

Dangote Group is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee stock levels, coordinate procurement activities, and optimise storage operations to meet business needs.

The successful candidate will manage the overall supply cycle, monitor finished sugar and molasses inventory, and oversee weighbridge operations for cane and finished sugar.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Material Management team and supervise, hire, and train warehouse staff and inventory clerks.
• Review daily purchase requisitions (PRs) and verify quantities, specifications, and estimated costs.
• Conduct budget checks and ensure compliance with company purchasing policies.
• Verify stock availability before initiating procurement activities.
• Identify overstock situations and optimise reorder points to reduce inventory costs.
• Manage stock planning, forecasting, inventory control, and auditing.
• Evaluate incoming requests for clarity, justification, and budget compliance.
• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and annual stock count reports.
• Oversee warehouse and storage operations.
• Monitor finished sugar and molasses stock levels.
• Manage cane and finished sugar weighbridge functions.
• Ensure effective inventory management processes across the facility.

Requirements

• Minimum of a B.Sc. in Science or Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years’ hands-on experience in inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
• Relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
