Role Overview

We are seeking a results-driven and analytical Senior iOS Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of Kuda's native iOS mobile application.

The successful candidate will leverage strong software engineering skills to design and build high-quality mobile experiences, optimize application performance, solve technical challenges, and contribute to a seamless experience for Kuda users.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality native iOS applications.
• Build and deliver new features in collaboration with product, design, backend, and other cross-functional teams.
• Ensure applications are performant, responsive, reliable, and scalable.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, technical issues, and software bugs.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-organized, and reusable code.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, automation, and continuous improvement of development processes.
• Optimize application performance, memory usage, and responsiveness.
• Implement appropriate offline storage and data management solutions.
• Integrate mobile applications with backend services through RESTful APIs.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and effective code versioning practices.
• Stay up to date with iOS development best practices, Apple design standards, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' professional software development experience, preferably within a startup or scale-up environment.
• Strong proficiency in Swift, Swift Package Manager, and Cocoa Touch.
• Experience building user interfaces using UIKit and/or SwiftUI.
• Strong knowledge of iOS frameworks, including Core Data and Core Animation.
• Experience with offline storage, multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Experience integrating iOS applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Good understanding of web technologies and UI/UX principles.
• Strong understanding of Apple's design principles and Human Interface Guidelines.
• Experience using Instruments and other performance and memory management tools.
• Familiarity with cloud messaging services and push notifications.
• Strong understanding of benchmarking and application optimization.
• Proficiency with Git or other code versioning tools.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
