Job Summary

Marriott International is seeking an IT Manager to provide technical support and oversee the maintenance, security, and effective operation of property-based technology systems. The role involves managing IT infrastructure, supporting users, maintaining technology assets, and ensuring compliance with Marriott’s technology and information security standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support IT leadership with CAPEX and departmental operating budgets based on technology needs and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott International Policies and Information Security Manuals.
  • Manage equipment orders, invoices, and technology-related vendor contracts.
  • Conduct regular inventories of hardware and software and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure technology assets are properly secured.
  • Provide technical support and customer service to hotel associates and users.
  • Prepare proposals, project plans, cost models, analyses, and status reports.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and escalate issues to appropriate Marriott IT teams or vendors.
  • Support guest and associate internet access requirements.
  • Install and configure software, apply patches, map network drives, and maintain desktop systems.
  • Manage PC and peripheral installations, replacements, and data migration when required.
  • Perform routine backups and preventative maintenance.
  • Provide end-user support and troubleshoot technology issues.
  • Ensure technology security measures, including encryption and patch deployment, are maintained.
  • Support servers, switches, routers, access points, and other IT infrastructure.
  • Assist with maintaining secure server environments, server backups, and routine maintenance.
  • Support corporate, regional, and property-level technology initiatives.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED with 2–4 years of experience in Information Technology or a related professional area; or
  • Two-year Degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field with relevant professional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, hardware, software, networks, and technical support.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple technical tasks and priorities.
  • System-related professional certification is an added advantage.
