Role Summary
Our client, a leading provider of industrial and mechanical engineering solutions, including pumps, valves, and fluid‑handling systems is seeking a Mechanical Sales Engineer to promote and sell their mechanical engineering solutions and services to new and existing clients.

Reports To: Senior Mechanical Sales Engineer
Location: Sangotedo, Lagos, Nigeria
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Develop and present proposals and technical solutions to prospective clients.
- Offer expert technical advice and solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- Collaborate with internal sales, engineering, and supply chain teams to develop custom solutions and ensure timely delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
- Provide after-sales support and reports to address client concerns or issues.
- Support marketing initiatives such as exhibitions, product demonstrations, and promotional activities.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and market insights.
- Prepare weekly reports on sales performance, call plans, visitation schedules, and market trends.
- Provide ongoing technical support and guidance to clients throughout the sales process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ work experience in mechanical sales, ideally with pumps, valves, or related mechanical products.
- Proven experience selling to clients in industrial or mechanical sectors.
- Strong technical knowledge of pumps, valves, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and meet sales targets.
- Reside in or near Lagos Island (encouraged for easier commute).
