Role Summary

Our client, a leading provider of industrial and mechanical engineering solutions, including pumps, valves, and fluid‑handling systems is seeking a Mechanical Sales Engineer to promote and sell their mechanical engineering solutions and services to new and existing clients.

The ideal candidate will leverage technical expertise in pumps, valves, and mechanical systems to understand customer needs, develop tailored solutions, and close sales deals while maintaining strong client relationships.

Location: Sangotedo, Lagos, Nigeria

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and present proposals and technical solutions to prospective clients.
  • Offer expert technical advice and solutions tailored to customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal sales, engineering, and supply chain teams to develop custom solutions and ensure timely delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Provide after-sales support and reports to address client concerns or issues.
  • Support marketing initiatives such as exhibitions, product demonstrations, and promotional activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and market insights.
  • Prepare weekly reports on sales performance, call plans, visitation schedules, and market trends.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and guidance to clients throughout the sales process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ work experience in mechanical sales, ideally with pumps, valves, or related mechanical products.
  • Proven experience selling to clients in industrial or mechanical sectors.
  • Strong technical knowledge of pumps, valves, and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and meet sales targets.
  • Reside in or near Lagos Island (encouraged for easier commute).
