Role Overview
The Maintenance Assistant will support maintenance and engineering operations by ensuring all works are carried out according to company standards, safety regulations, and approved job scope. The role requires close supervision of contractors, site inspections, and timely reporting of maintenance issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure maintenance works meet safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Ensure compliance with TotalEnergies Golden Rules and use of STOP Cards
- Monitor contractors to ensure quality of work is not compromised
- Ensure adherence to approved Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
- Issue general work permits and ensure compliance by contractors and station representatives
- Issue special permits (hot work, tank entry, fire permit, etc.) as authorized
- Identify maintenance faults and recommend corrective actions
- Report maintenance issues to the Maintenance Supervisor or Engineer
- Request and collect quotations from registered contractors
- Perform minor emergency repairs when necessary
- Support installation and distribution of equipment (fire extinguishers, shelves, etc.)
- Carry out pump price changes as directed
- Maintain inventory records of company assets (pumps, generators, compressors, etc.)
- Monitor pump flow rates and ensure compliance with standards
Requirements
- OND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience
- Valid driver’s license with defensive driving experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and maintenance software
