Role Overview
This role is based in Kano and supports operations across Kano, Hadejia, Yola, Gusau, and Maiduguri zones. The position involves handling invoicing, receipting, order processing, and customer service activities while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of financial and operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise Sales Orders (SO) and Dispatch Notes (DO) promptly and accurately
- Prepare and follow up on blocked order requests
- Invoice products and share invoices with relevant customers
- Maintain proper filing of invoices and Local Purchase Orders (LPOs)
- Process orders for cash customers after payment confirmation
- Capture and record all applicable service fees accurately
- Process transit losses and inter-station transfers
- Print invoices and debit notes for customers and transporters
- Manage station items and consumables within assigned zones
- Liaise with depots to receive and file customer acknowledgment copies
- Provide product price lists to customers upon request
- Prepare and distribute customer statements periodically
- Follow up on signed customer statements and ensure proper filing
- Coordinate quarterly reporting to Head Office
- Prepare Goods in Transit (GIT) and other monthly reports
- Create stock transfer orders for inter-plant transfers
- Maintain accurate customer transaction records in company systems
- Attend to customer enquiries, complaints, and requests professionally
- Participate in all safety-related activities and comply with company rules
Qualifications
- B.Sc. Degree in Accounting or a related discipline
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Work Environment
- Covers multiple operational zones including Kano, Hadejia, Yola, Gusau, and Maiduguri
- Requires collaboration with customers, transporters, depots, and internal teams
- Adherence to safety, ethical, and operational standards is mandatory
