Role Overview

The Quantity Surveyor will be based at the Head Office in Lagos and will support project cost management, tendering processes, and contractor evaluation. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure cost efficiency and compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare tender documents and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) in line with construction and HSEQ standards.
  • Evaluate contractor bids and support vendor selection processes.
  • Conduct market surveys to determine accurate cost estimates for materials and projects.
  • Prepare cost estimates and contribute to annual project budgeting.
  • Review and vet tenders and quotations to ensure cost efficiency and compliance.
  • Monitor ongoing contracts and manage contractual claims where necessary.
  • Visit project sites to measure work progress and prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Resolve disputes between contractors and the company when required.
  • Develop pricing structures for tendering based on market data and analysis.
Qualifications
  • B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying
  • Membership of the National Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) is an added advantage
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
