Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Bids and Tender Engineer to manage the preparation, evaluation, and submission of competitive bids and tenders for oil and gas projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating tender activities, ensuring compliance with industry requirements, developing competitive pricing strategies, and supporting business growth through successful bid execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze bid invitations, tender requirements, and client specifications.
• Develop bid strategies, pricing structures, and competitive commercial proposals.
• Coordinate vendor pre-qualification exercises and documentation.
• Conduct technical bid evaluations and identify suitable technical partners where required.
• Compile complete technical and commercial bid documents.
• Prepare and submit bids through NIPEX and other electronic procurement platforms.
• Manage bid schedules and ensure timely submission of tender documents.
• Process and maintain Nigerian oil and gas industry compliance documentation, including:
  • NUPRC Certifications
  • NOGIC requirements
  • NCEC Certifications
  • Other statutory compliance documents
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the tender process.
• Monitor tender opportunities and ensure compliance with client requirements and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in bids and tender management within the Nigerian oil and gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of bid analysis, tender preparation, and commercial pricing strategies.
• Experience with vendor pre-qualification processes.
• Proficiency in NIPEX bid submission.
• Hands-on experience using procurement platforms such as ARIBA, SMART GEP, or similar systems.
• Good understanding of Nigerian oil and gas regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict submission deadlines.
