Job Description
The Group Head of Compliance (GHC) leads the design and execution of a comprehensive compliance framework that ensures all entities within the company operate in line with laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. This role covers regulatory and business compliance, AML/CFT oversight, and ethics management, while driving effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders. By embedding integrity, transparency, and accountability, the position ensures the company’s operations are safeguarded and supports its long-term strategic objectives.
Responsibilities

Promote a culture of integrity and accountability across the company.

Deliver regular training sessions and engagement initiatives to embed compliance best practices.

Serve as the primary liaison with regulators and industry bodies.

Ensure timely responses to regulatory queries, inspections, and audits.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen compliance awareness and risk ownership.

Represent the company in regulatory and industry forums.

Supervise KYC, CDD/EDD processes, transaction monitoring, and regulatory filings (STR, FTR, CTR).

Liaise with NFIU, SEC, SCUML, and other relevant bodies on AML/CFT matters.

Develop and deliver AML/CFT training and awareness programs.

Ensure compliance with authorities across the company.

Provide advisory support to management and business units on compliance requirements for strategic and operational initiatives.

Review and approve new products, services, and initiatives to ensure regulatory alignment.
Requirements

Minimum of 2.1 grade points in a Degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.

A master’s degree or compliance-related certifications is an added advantage.

The candidate should be an SEC-sponsored individual for the role of Compliance Officer.

Minimum of 7 years’ post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a senior compliance or regulatory role.
