Job Summary
We are seeking a commercially driven and relationship-focused Treasury Retail Officer to support business development, treasury sales, deposit mobilization, and wealth management activities within the Asset Management Strategic Business Unit.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, promoting investment products, and contributing to the growth of the company's Assets Under Management (AUM).
Key Responsibilities
- Drive business development, treasury sales, funds mobilization, and wealth management activities within the Asset Management SBU.
- Mobilize deposits across retail and i-Trove customer segments.
- Develop and implement strategies targeting institutional, retail, and public sector clients to secure profitable business relationships.
- Identify sales and business growth opportunities across various sectors and collaborate with the Portfolio Management team to grow Assets Under Management.
- Develop and manage customized investment portfolios and discretionary funds for institutional and corporate clients.
- Identify, engage, onboard, and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of sales and distribution strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Support product development initiatives designed to meet the needs of a broad client base.
- Identify business opportunities within the financial services sector, including insurance companies, pension fund administrators, investment and finance houses, and capital market operators.
- Explore business opportunities within the public sector and develop appropriate client relationships.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and provide timely, value-added financial information, advice, and recommendations.
- Analyze financial statements and other relevant information to assess the viability of investment proposals.
- Provide investment advisory services and recommend suitable investment solutions based on client needs.
- Market a comprehensive range of financial products, including structured deposits, treasury solutions, brokerage, and advisory services.
- Build relationships with prospective clients across different states in Nigeria.
- Prepare budget reports and monthly performance review reports for the team and group.
- Monitor sales performance and provide relevant updates to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Managing Director.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in treasury sales, asset management, wealth management, business development, investment advisory, or financial services is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets, and treasury solutions.
- Proven ability to generate leads, mobilize funds, and develop new business relationships.
- Strong client relationship management and networking skills.
- Good financial analysis and investment assessment skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strong commercial awareness and target-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with portfolio management and other teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
