Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the company’s finance, accounting, tax, treasury, and internal control functions in a fast-growing, design-driven business.

This is more than a reporting role. The successful candidate will be expected to understand the numbers, challenge the business, strengthen controls, and turn financial insights into better business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
  • Manage accounting operations and financial reporting.
  • Prepare management accounts and financial statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis, identify cost drivers, and provide performance insights.
Budgeting, Planning & Treasury
  • Prepare annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and treasury activities.
  • Maintain banking relationships and support resource optimisation.
Internal Control & Risk
  • Strengthen financial controls and processes.
  • Identify financial and operational risks.
  • Support audits and implementation of audit recommendations.
Tax & Statutory Compliance
  • Manage tax, pension, and other statutory obligations.
  • Liaise with auditors, consultants, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Monitor changes in accounting and tax requirements.
Leadership
  • Lead and develop the finance team.
  • Drive accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with other functions to protect financial integrity.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • At least 6 years of experience in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • ICAN or equivalent certification — mandatory.
  • Strong accounting, financial management, and internal control experience.
  • Excellent Excel and accounting/ERP systems proficiency.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and sound business judgment.
  • Experience in QSR is desirable.
The Person

You should be comfortable working with numbers and understand what they mean for the business. You should also be able to work closely with Operations, Commercial, and Leadership teams to identify cost drivers, financial risks, and opportunities for improvement.
