Impeccable Skills Company is recruiting on behalf of a sustainable development consultancy firm that has recently expanded its services into the water and wastewater treatment sector in Nigeria. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team in Lagos.

Job Summary:

The primary objective of this role is to identify business opportunities and secure projects/contracts within the water and wastewater treatment sector. The role will involve leveraging technical partnerships and capitalizing on the growing demand in the Nigerian market.

Key Responsibilities and Benchmarks:

Technical Leadership:

• Provide strategic direction for business development efforts in the water and wastewater treatment sector.

Financial Management:

• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accountability and profitability in project execution.

Stakeholder Leadership:

• Lead and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including technical partners, departmental heads, clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

Top Accountabilities:

• Lead, develop, and implement a comprehensive strategy for the water and wastewater treatment business.
• Establish and maintain governance processes to ensure the successful operation of the water and wastewater treatment division.

Qualifications and Role Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Process, or related field).
• A Master’s degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience.
• Proven expertise in water and wastewater treatment technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian water and wastewater treatment market.
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset with problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to engage with professionals within potential client organizations.
• Willingness to travel within and outside Nigeria as required.

Salary:

₦700,000 – ₦900,000 per month
