Description

The RIPS Summer Internship Program 2025 in the U.S. (Fully Funded)

The RIPS Summer Internship Program 2025 in the U.S. offers an exceptional opportunity for driven students and recent graduates to boost their careers in fields like mathematics, computer science, and related disciplines. Participants work collaboratively on real-world problems, proposed by industry leaders or public sector organizations, gaining hands-on experience while being mentored by academic experts and professionals from the sponsoring companies.

The 2025 RIPS program aims to cultivate a global community of young researchers. Set to take place in person at UCLA, this may shift to virtual if health and safety conditions require. UCLA is committed to providing a dynamic and safe environment for participants, while also offering an immersive research experience. This program helps students build a global network and prepares them to meet modern competitive challenges.

As a fully-funded internship, RIPS offers a unique platform for participants to strengthen their professional skills and enhance their career prospects. It encourages collaboration with peers from around the world, helping students establish international connections. Participants will also engage in a variety of research, academic, and project-based activities under the mentorship of some of the world’s leading faculty members.

RIPS places a strong emphasis on the practical application of mathematical and computational knowledge to solve industry challenges. Interns work as part of a team at the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IPAM), with one student taking on the role of project manager. This experience not only sharpens leadership abilities but also hones essential skills like report writing, presentations, and time management. Additionally, participants gain insights into potential career paths with the program’s corporate sponsors.
