About the Role:
Since 2006, WPMU DEV, as part of Incsub, has empowered developers, freelancers, and agencies through award-winning WordPress plugins, hosting, and top-tier support tools. If you’re passionate about coding, problem-solving, and helping people, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Our globally distributed team works around the clock to provide outstanding support, and we’re looking for someone who’s enthusiastic about remote work, ready to work weekends, and available during the specified shift.
At WPMU DEV, your work will power websites used by millions of users daily. We’re seeking talented WordPress Support Specialist (PHP, MySQL, CSS, HTML) at WPMU DEV with excellent customer service skills to help us maintain the highest standard of support within the WordPress ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional support to customers and members.
- Troubleshoot issues with websites, plugins, and hosting services promptly and effectively.
- Actively engage in WordPress.org forums—be friendly, helpful, and resourceful.
- Diagnose and resolve WordPress issues by logging into customer sites.
- Offer clear, professional responses to customer inquiries via email, chat, and forums.
- Recommend solutions for customer feature requests and handle escalations effectively.
- Collaborate with developers and second-level support by providing detailed bug reports.
- Document troubleshooting steps and findings for both customers and team members.
- Stay involved with the Incsub team and contribute to our vibrant, global community.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years of experience working with WordPress.
- Proficiency in PHP, CSS, MySQL, and HTML.
- Strong understanding of WordPress platform hooks and filters.
- Experience troubleshooting browser console errors using developer tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Great communication skills—friendly, patient, and supportive.
- A reliable team player who thrives in a remote, collaborative environment.
- High typing speed with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Fluent in English for effective communication.
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week), including weekends.
