Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment Officer (HSE) to join our team and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating with various stakeholders to maintain high safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and environmental audits.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain detailed records of incidents, inspections, and training.
• Prepare and submit HSE reports to management and regulatory agencies.
• Liaise with external stakeholders such as regulatory bodies and contractors.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, developing corrective action plans.
• Provide training and awareness programs for staff and subcontractors.
• Develop and implement environmental management plans and monitor performance.

Requirements and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, focusing on HSE.
• Experience in industrial settings with hands-on HSE expertise.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Analytical and reporting abilities.
• NEBOSH or OSHA certification (or equivalent).
• Additional certifications such as ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 are a plus.
• Professional HSE practitioner license.
