Data Analyst at Sightsavers Nigeria
Sightsavers, an international organisation dedicated to eliminating avoidable blindness and supporting people with visual impairments, is recruiting a Data Analyst. The ideal candidate will have experience in international development programs and working with inclusive data and DHIS2. The role involves extracting meaningful information, generating reports and dashboards, and providing support to colleagues across the organisation.

Employment Type: Contract (24-month Fixed Term)
Hours: Full-time with flexibility around working hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and produce quarterly and annual dashboards and data reports using Power BI, Excel, and DHIS2-based approaches.
- Conduct data analysis on Sightsavers projects.
- Strengthen data reporting systems in country offices.
- Collaborate with country offices to map and improve project data flows.
- Provide training and capacity-building support to colleagues on data management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate-level qualification or equivalent work-based experience in statistics, information systems, international development, public health, or a related field with a statistical/analytical component.
- Proven track record of working with organisational data management systems and applying statistical techniques in areas such as health, education, or international development.
- Practical experience in data quality practices, data cleaning, and preparing datasets for analytics.
- Experience with DHIS2 for data collection, reporting, and visualisation.
- Expertise in Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualisation software.
- Experience using Power Query for data extraction, transformation, and loading from different sources.
- Strong ability to work with multiple stakeholders and balance their priorities.
- Fluent in English, with a background in report and briefing writing.
Desirable Skills:
- Master’s degree in international development, international relations, geography, statistics, or a relevant equivalent.
- French and/or Portuguese language skills.
- Experience in digital transformation within an organisation.
