Accounts Receivable Officer at Sahara Group

Accountabilities:
- Sales and Payment Management: Post daily sales entries in the financial system, confirm customer payments promptly, and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Invoice and Documentation Handling: Check the accuracy of statutory deductions on invoices, prepare customer sales invoices, and manage waybills, invoices, and cashbook receipts.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate weekly sales and customer balances reports, update customer receivable worksheets, and ensure the accurate reconciliation of accounts.
- Collaboration and Communication: Maintain strong relationships with both internal teams and external customers, ensuring timely information flow.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, or a relevant field.
- Progression in ICAN exams, with a minimum of the Intermediate level passed.
- 1-2 years of post-NYSC work experience in a similar role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to reconcile complex accounts.
- Proficient in IFRS, with basic accounting knowledge and an understanding of taxes and statutory deductions in Nigeria.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial transactions.
